During the 14 years that Gerrie Springston has
been with VDI, her position has evolved from
Nurse Consultant to Nurse Consultant
Supervisor. Knowledge and experience gained
every step of the way equipped her to implement an orientation program
for new VDI nurse consultants and assist seasoned nurses as needed.

Prior employment with law firms in the Phoenix area, as well as clinical experience in intensive care and cardiovascular intensive care, prepared Gerrie for the challenges and ever changing world of Life Care Planning and Case Management.

Gerrie is always ready to learn, whether by formal accredited training or while collaborating with the VDI’s other Nurse Consultants around the country. She is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and was among the first group in the U.S. to obtain the Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (L.N.C.C.) credential. Springston is a Certified Case Manager (C.C.M.) and is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (I.A.R.P.) Forensic and International Academy of Life Care Planners (IALCP) special interest sections. She has taken many Life Care Planning classes and regularly attends seminars to increase her knowledge base.

Gerrie specializes in catastrophic case evaluation and life care planning. She is a key support person to our Director, Robert Taylor, and has testified herself as an expert in life care planning.
